Bowl Turning

Starting from a log of fresh split greenwood, you will learn to safely use an axe to rough out a bowl blank. Then you will use hook tools to shape your bowl while operating a traditionally designed foot-powered pole lathe. This is a demanding physical workout using your legs, hips, arms, shoulders, hands, and alot of concentration.  This unique workshop opportunity is limited to 3 students.   

Two Day workshop offered Aug 7-8 and Aug 14 - 15   Fee is $300. Instructor Oliver Klotzek

Private One Day Sessions available Aug 9 thru Aug 13. Please contact us to arrange.  Fee is $200

Oliver and Raleigh will guide you through a day of turning a basic cereal bowl or a more experienced Locking Lid Bowl. 

All materials and tools provided. Lunch and snacks included.
