Bowl Turning on a Pole Lathe

Starting from a log of fresh split greenwood, you start by axing out the exterior of a rough bowl. Then begin to hollow out the bowl using a hook knife to shape the interior curves.  You will be manually operating a traditionally designed foot-powered pole lathe.  This is a demanding physical workout using your legs, hips, arms, shoulders, hands, and alot of concentration.  This is a unique, semi-private workshop. If you are a woodworker up for a new challenge, you don't want to miss this opportunity!
