About The Workshop
Woodcarving is a skill that goes on hikes with you. Sit down by the lake, pick up a stick and carve for a few moments. The Carving Basics workshop teaches how to handle and use a knife safely, tree identification and harvesting, and planning your project. Practice various knife grips and techniques that will help you carve in an effective and safe way. The day's project is a butter spreader or wall hook. A Morakniv carving knife is included for you to take home for your future woodcarving projects.
All materials supplied, including your own carving knife.
Lunch and snacks included.
