About The Workshop

Coiling is one of four traditional basket making techniques.  The basket is formed using a foundation material coiled into shape and stitched to the previous row. There are many variations in foundation and stitching materials, type of stitch, basket shape and edge details.  In this workshop, we will repurpose plastic bread bags as the foundation material, and wrap and stitch it with leftover yarns.  The result is a sturdy, colorful basket,  plus the satisfaction that plastic is being diverted from the landfill.

Please bring your stash of half used yarn balls and plastic bread bags or produce bags.

Lunch and snacks are provided.

Workshop Fee: $135
