About The Workshop
Have you always wanted to try glass blowing? Is it on your bucket list? Or maybe you have already spent time in the hot shop and want more. This semi-private, 5-hour session is tailored to you.
Expect to gather molten glass from the furnace, blow some bubbles, and make a paperweight, ornament, and maybe a cup. Your glass will need to anneal in the kiln overnight. It can be picked up the following day or shipped to you.
No experience is required, however, keep in mind you will working in a tight, hot space with equipment that can cut and burn. In other words, be mindful of your movements. Wear closed-toe shoes, tie back the hair, and no flowy clothing. Excessively hot weather may cancel the workshop.
This workshop is offered on the following Saturdays; June 22, July 6, July 13 and July 20. Email us before you submit your payment to confirm your preferred date. Two students per day are required for this workshop to run.
Workshop Fee: $325, $300 purchased before April 1.
All materials included. Lunch and snacks are provided.
Workshop Instructor: Oliver Weerts, Clio, CA
