About The Workshop

This two-day workshop is an exciting opportunity designed to introduce students to the fascinating world of printmaking through four distinct techniques, each offering a unique approach and aesthetic. Participants will engage in hands-on learning, allowing them to explore their creativity while gaining valuable skills in this traditional art form.


Relief Printmaking: In this technique, the non-image areas of the printing surface are meticulously carved away, leaving the raised portions to hold ink.


Intaglio Printmaking: This intricate method involves incising designs into a metal plate, where the ink sits in the recessed lines created by the artist.


Monotype Printing: This technique creates one-of-a-kind prints by painting or rolling ink directly onto a smooth surface, such as a gel plate or glass.


Collagraph Printing: This innovative approach involves creating a printing plate from a collage of materials, which can include paper, fabric, and organic elements.
