Macrame Design

Learn to design with macrame to form an undulating pattern that moves the eye about and through your work. There is a little math involved, some trial and error, and some just letting go and seeing where it leads. 

The workshop will begin with some quiet time spent designing on paper and practicing basic knots. Then the real work begins using repetitive knotting sequences to grow the design outward. Designs can be as simple or intricate as you choose. Format suggestions include a 16" mandala, a large vase, or a series of smaller compositions that can be hung as "prayer flags'.  Some experience with macrame is helpful, but not as useful as the desire to learn.

Workshop Fee: $250

All materials and tools provided. Lunch and snacks provided.
