Spoon Carving

Everyone has a favorite wood spoon. Maybe it's the handle length or the depth of the bowl or the curve that perfectly fits the corners of the sauce pan. Maybe it's designed for lefties. Learn how to carve a spoon that fits you. Work with freshly harvested greenwood (wood that is still wet) as you learn what to look for when selecting wood, tips for spoon design & how to carve with confidence. Learn to safely use an axe and hook knife. There may be time to complete both a spoon and butter knife. Wood carving requires a fair amount of hand and wrist strength.  No carving experience needed.
