About The Workshop
Wet felting is a centuries old art that is still encouraging experimentation and growth. Using wool roving (carded wool), a little water and soap, wool can be formed into a cohesive fiber to make useful and expressive creations.
This 2-day workshop explores the technique of wet felting using a resist. This technique is essential to forming three dimensional projects like vessels, bowls, and hats. Learn how to take measurements, plan your project, felt around the resist, sculpt, shape and size your project. Create a customized pattern for a felted wool hat using your own design. This can be a whimsical festival hat, a proper bowler or a cloche hat for everyday use. Make felted flora and hat bands to garnish your hat.
